Let Capt. Bill Hammond and Capt. Matt Johnson show you some of the best back bay and near shore fishing in SW Florida. Catch Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Shark, Mackerel, Trout and so much more in the waters of Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers & Fort Myers Beach! Whether you are an avid fisherman or a family with kids, Capt. Bill and Capt. Matt have the experience for both.
Here at Endless Summer Charters we not only offer fishing charters but eco-tours and sight-seeing tours also. A combo charter is a nice way to spend the day by combining fishing, shelling, and a trip for lunch to Cabbage Key Inn. Our typical combo trip includes inshore/backbay fishing, some shelling on Cayo Costa or North Captiva, birdwatching on the many mangrove islands of Pine Island Sound, observing Dolphin in their natural habitat, Manatee loafing about in the bay and so much more!
Tarpon fishing also has it’s own season and typically when the shark are here. People travel from all parts of the world to fish the “Tarpon Capital of the World”. The first tarpon landed was right here in Tarpon Bay on the shores of Sanibel Island. There’s nothing like the adrenalin rush of catching the renowned Silver King!
As an alternative night shark trips in May-August is perfect for someone that wants to catch big fish without being in the heat of the day. Kids love it and our average catch varies from 24″ to 6 ft. It’s also a beautiful way to take in the sunset and see a few dolphin too.
At Endless Summer Charters we love sharing our passion for fishing and our love for the islands of SW Florida with everyone. As natives of S.W. Florida both our captains are full time professional guides, both Capt. Bill and Capt. Matt have the local knowledge to give you the best experience possible no matter which charter style you choose.
Our top of the line 25′ Blue Wave Pure Bay boat is the perfect boat for backwater and flats fishing AND it allows us to go off-shore when the Tarpon and King Mackerel are running or perfect for a little Grouper fishing on calm days. It’s the perfect boat with a t-top for shade on those hot, sunny days. You’re really getting a lot of boat for the money and we can comfortably accommodate up to six passengers inshore and four offshore.
Fishing SW Florida
with Endless Summer Charters
Some of Florida’s finest saltwater fishing occurs in Southwest Florida. This area of Florida has some of the best back country, flats and near shore fishing in the state, using light tackle, it’s angling at its best. Florida’s extensive network of bays, mangrove islands and tidal creeks that permeate the region present angling challenges to the accomplished angler as well as the novice. There are thousands of miles of shoreline, oyster bars and acres and acres of sea-grass flats that attract an abundance of saltwater fish.
For the adventurer or true sportsman, Tarpon fishing for the prized “Silver King” is it. Capt. Bill and Capt. Matt have the experience and “know how” to help you land that trophy. During season, there is nothing like Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande pass! Did you know the first tarpon taken on rod and reel was caught just minutes from Port Sanibel Marina?
Roaming the inshore waters are four of Florida’s most sought after game fish, the Tarpon, Snook, Redfish and the Spotted Sea Trout. Thousands of anglers come to Southwest Florida each year for the chance at a Grand Slam, catching a fish of each species in a single day. In addition to the fishing, Florida’s wildlife helps to provide an extraordinary aesthetic experience.
Offshore and Deep Sea we have many Grouper species, snapper, shark, etc. You may be lucky enough to catch the mighty Goliath Grouper while fishing with our guides!
If Capt. Bill or Capt. Matt are not available for the date you’ve chosen we can also book any of the Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina Charter Fleet. So please let us know and we’ll get you on the water if we’re booked. We feel confident that you’ll enjoy your day on the water with any one of these knowledgeable, USCG certified & insured guides if Capt. Bill or Capt. Matt are unavailable.
Tours in the Sanibel and Fort Myers area
Not interested in fishing? We run shelling tours to the outer islands including the pristine islands of Cayo Costa and North Captiva, where you just may be the only ones on the beach! Find the illusive Junonia shell and we’ll put you in the Sanibel Island news!
Shelling not your thing? Plan a day of sightseeing. While on our eco-tours, also known as wildlife tours, watch the dolphin jump and play in the wake of the boat, search for the endangered manatee and sea turtles and then stop for lunch at historical Cabbage Key for a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and a Cabbage Creeper, their famous cocktail.
Birdwatching and photographing birds of prey including bald eagles, osprey, & golden eagles as well as wading birds like snowy egrets, great white egrets, great blue herons, white ibis, and roseate spoonbills is popular. We will do everything we can to get you up close while protecting our natural and beautiful wildlife in SW Florida.
We are one of the few licensed to guide you throughout the waters of the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge where birds nest in their natural habitat.
